Techs arrived shut off gas water and power to old unit removed unit from wall. A new navien model was installed in place of the old one. Minor movements of the water gas and electrical hook up to conform to new unit. Once unit was hooked up water was restored and tank and lines had been purged of air, prior to firing up new unit. Unit was tested for functionality and to ensure no leaks had been present. Customer was given the new units instructions and given a quick observation and instruction of the shut offs for the unit. Techs did not register unit on site, Casey said he will call in and register unit. New condensation pump recommended.
Customer just moved into home Jan 28th. Requested estimates on changing the kitchen faucet, tub spouts, upstairs bathroom pop ups, and servicing the tankless rheem water heater (explained if it needs to be updated and modified for service/flush, he is willing to have work completed to allow servicing)
Tech arrived and customer explained the water heater was from 2008, he explained that it had been leaking and was requesting a new one. Tech gave him the option and explain the pricing, and upon inspection explained that along with a new water heater he also needed to replace the water service shut off upstream of the meter. Customer authorized work to be performed,. Tech shut down the water to the house, Installed a new water service shut off valve. Cut out old Bradford white 50 gallon 4 foot power vent water heater. A similar Bradford white model was installed in place of the old one, connections were made and water was turned back on. Unit was checked for leaks as well as all fittings in the vicinity of the work areas. No leaks are present at this time, everything is functioning properly.
Tech arrived to a tub spout that had fallen out in the common bathroom due to the fact that it was improperly installed. New tub spout was installed and tested and is working properly at this time. Tenant describe to tech that the sink was draining slowly and he thought it was from A slow drain. Tech explained that due to a cheap quality pop up, most likely supplied with the faucet, that it was not allowing water to properly drain from the sink. Tech replaced the plastic pop up with a new Wolverine brass chrome pop up. Upon installation of the pop-up tell piece underneath the lab sink broke loose. Tech pulled tailpiece Cleaning both the male and female side of the pipe and re-glued drain together.
Plumber needed. Plumbing repair job of shower valve. Rome old three handle shower valve and replace with new single lever handle shower valve with trim plate. Shower repair complete for residential customer.
